Pricing
Regular therapy appointments are $150 per 55 minute session. If you request paperwork, letters, coordination calls, or other tasks outside the appointment time, I pro-rate the fee and round the time spent to the nearest 15 minutes. When you request something outside of a therapy session, I'll give you a good faith estimate for how long I expect the task to take, and I will contact you if there are unforeseen complications that will cause us to exceed that time estimate.

Sliding Scale, Self-pay discounts, and Economic Justice
Self-Pay Discount
If you are paying out of pocket and will not receive any reimbursement from insurance, I offer a $50 discount for prompt payment of your appointment fees. I consider prompt payment to be payment that is completed within 7 days of your appointment.
Sliding Scale
I offer further discounted services to people who express a need and do not have insurance coverage. This can include people who do not have "out of network" benefits in their insurance plan or those who do not have insurance at all.
Billing Insurance
Effective May 1st 2025, I am in network with Premera, Lifewise, and some Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans in Washington state.
I hold a LICSW in the state of Washington (LW61676745). I'm happy to provide superbills to facilitate reimbursement from your insurance if it is not listed above. This is also called Out Of Network billing (OON).
Economic Justice
As a provider, I recognize that the American healthcare system is deeply troubled, and that insurance companies often impose rules that harm rather than help the consumers who should be able to rely on insurance for their healthcare. I also recognize the negative impact that medical debt has on people's lives. With this in mind, it is the policy of Ample Space Counseling to NEVER send a bill to a debt collection agency or negatively report on anyone's credit. If you are facing financial hardship and cannot pay your portion of the appointment fee, please speak to me. We'll find a solution to help you remain in treatment. Poverty is traumatic enough without losing your counselor too.
With all of this said, the more clients who are paying higher cash pay rates, the more I'm able to offer significantly discounted or free services to others. If you have the ability to pay without creating a hardship for yourself, it helps benefit the entire community.
